~ Or ~
If you’re reading this, you’re interested in the Comprehensive Copywriting Academy. You might be wondering if it's a scam.
And I don’t blame you. It does seem a little too good to be true.
But, read on, and find out how, in less than 2 years, I replaced my full-time wage, left my job, and started a successful freelance copywriting business.
And find out how you can too.
In the Summer of 2020, like many people in the UK, I was facing an uncertain future. COVID was running rampant throughout the country, and I was staring down the barrel of redundancy. I work, or at least I did, for an airline, which should tell you all you need to know about my job security at the time.
Before then, I’d never even heard of the word furlough, but it came to dominate my life for the foreseeable future.
Being told you’re “not essential to our business” doesn’t half make you reassess your life choices. If I was going to lose my job, sure, I could get a similar middle-manager role in another big company, but what would stop all of this from happening again?
Is this really what my life would amount to? After 17 years working for the same company, all that hard work, all that climbing the corporate ladder, all that on hold as I wasn’t “essential.”
At that very moment, I saw a Facebook Ad talking about making a living as a writer.
I’m not going to lie, I scoffed and scrolled on, wondering what on earth I had clicked on for Facebook to be showing me that.
A writer? Me?
Ridiculous.
But it kept appearing.
And out of curiosity, I clicked. More to see what would happen than anything else.
I filled in my email address, hit submit, and waited. I was convinced I’d just waved a huge flag to all the scammers out there to come and empty my bank account (I can be quite dramatic at times).
An email appeared in my inbox with a link to a video I watched while making dinner one Tuesday evening.
And, as I said earlier, it all sounded a little far-fetched.
Learning a new career in 15-minutes a day?
Getting paid to work from anywhere that has a WiFi connection?
Yeah, right.
I wrote it off.
That’d never work for me, on the other side of the Atlantic in little old England.
What do I know about writing or being my own boss? How would I even pay the mortgage?
But, for the rest of the night (and into the early hours of the morning), I couldn’t stop thinking about that video. Imagining what it would be like to have control over my life again.
To not be facing unemployment and not furloughed again at a moment’s notice.
To do something you enjoy and get paid for it? I mean, that’s the dream, right?
And sure, I’ve never considered myself a writer, but a few colleagues had said I send good emails.
But I’m not brave enough to leave my job. Clearly, that’s never going to happen.
That being said... learning how to write better, I mean, that a valuable skill, right?
Plus, I needed something to do while sitting at home, being all “non-essential” and waiting to find out if I had got a job to go back to.
So, at 6:37 on a Wednesday morning, after virtually zero sleep (thanks, Nicki), and clutching a black coffee, I took the plunge and signed up.
There are a few pivotal moments in life that you look back on and wonder what would have happened if you’d gone in a different direction. And this is one of them.
It’s the proper Sliding-Doors moment, right there, right in that kitchen.
Anyway, back to my story.
Gwyneth at her best, before she started selling...those candles.
After finally getting access to the CCA (I mistyped my email address in my sleep-deprived state), I jumped straight in and started to learn the essential skills of copywriting.
Features vs benefits, how to write a great headline, how to write Facebook ads, what on earth SEO is, how to create an email funnel, all of the good stuff.
It all made sense and got me hooked.
Nicki’s delivery is enthusiastic and simple to understand—even with the trickier topics like search engine optimization and messaging hierarchy.
But that’s not all.
In the CCA, Nicki teaches you how to make your own website (even with zero experience), to find clients, to set your rates, to raise your rates, and many, many other things.
It’s not just comprehensive, it’s expansive, AND you get lifetime access.
But best of all is the private Facebook group of over 6,000 copywriters all cheering you on, giving advice and feedback, and celebrating your wins.
And oh, there have been many, many wins.
My website is live! I’ve sent my first pitch! I’ve got my first client! I’ve been paid for the first time!
I’ve handed my notice in.
I’ve left my job.
I did it.
Yup, against all my predictions, after 18-months of copywriting-on-the-side, I’m now a full-time freelancer.
Director and Owner of Stuart Writes Copy Ltd.
I even have an accountant.
And it feels fantastic.
Click the button below to watch the same video I watched that started me on this AMAZING journey—but be warned, great things could happen.
But go in with your eyes open. This isn't a get-rich-quick scheme or an MLM business. it's learning actual skills to start an actual career that you have to work at and put the effort in.
If you're willing to even explore the possibility of starting a new life, watch the video, and see if it sparks the same fire inside of you as it did for me.
(this is an affiliate link and I may earn a little commission. You pay the same price though!)
Oh, and full disclosure—Nicki actually hired me.
I’m the Student Coaching Programme Manager for Nicki K Media (even though they spell it Program…🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ).
So if you do sign up and join, there’s a good chance you’ll hear a lot more from me—you can even book me for a one-on-one Coaching Session!
I look forward to meeting you.
Stuart
